I was wondering. If he is self employed and this is his only means of support I can see not wanting the business to go under because of an incapacitating stroke. Especially if he had no savings after medical bills and no insurance. If so is it possible he had a long time worker he trusted to run things while he was laid up who started using the site to rob and get rich behind his back? If he was not informed of any of this it would have made sense for that other poster who was talking to local law to ask that sparky be informed of the things that are going on. What I am unsure of is the guy aware of what has been going on? If so I agree no excuse close the website and shop until things are made right and under control. Possibly all the stories we are hearing were events which a worker caused before sparky found out about it. Does he now know? If so some kind of message should be posted at his business site and forum. Does anyone know the answers to these conjectures?

I agree Outlaw CB, that it possibly was a worker taking advantage of him. My suggestion would be, if someone lives in the town where Sparky's is located, go by and see if he is still open for business. If so, stop in and see if Al is there, and talk to him. How about making a suggestion to help with posting such notices on his website and forum. I've read all these posts about this, and just am not convinced that a businessman that held such a good reputation would suddenly go bad.
Here's a thought, if he's had a stroke or some disabling medical condition, and is struggling to correct things, where is the good ol' volunteer to help him out? If you were in that type of situation wouldn't you appreciate it if someone wanted to help you? -
What I was wondering, was there a 'good ol' volunteer' who actually created all these stories? You are thinking along the same lines I am. If so I hope a good 'good ol' volunteer' steps in and helps sparky. I have to agree with some others here, a bad person does not build up a good shop/reputation over years so we are missing key info here.

Al had a couple people working with him this is true...And one was let go prier to his health issues...And the other also terminated from what I herd for basically miss treating customers. But this all happened before Al got sick......
While he was supposedly recovering from his illness, no one was holding down the fort...

I like giving people a chance and the benefit of doubt but it sure sounds wrong in this case. At the least besides correcting peoples losses he owes an explanation to the CB/Trucker crowd.

I wholeheartedly agree with the highlighted statement here. Just sayin'.
