Sparkys CB Shop in Westville Illinois

From what I understand, he had a stroke a couple of years ago and other health related problems had him close the business.

 

Yup. He had health issues, "his help" was running the shop, taking orders and NOT sending anything out. Got away with plenty of peoples money

 

Both of the above are true....the man had a stroke, he entrusted in someone to keep the business afloat while he was out, that someone took advantage of his good graces and ran the business right into the ground.....which is sad because Sparky was top notch at one time.

I believe Dubs CB shop on I-70 inside the Illinois/Indiana line, bought out Sparkys remaining inventory.

Interestingly enough, Sparky's web board is still up and running.....

 

Heard EXACTLY the same thing. Some time ago I had dealings with Sparky through the mail. No problems. Hope the guy doesn't end up on the hook for what his "help" did.

 

Not sure it will do you any good or not...BUT, IF Sparkys took you for something, he has a site on ebay! His seller ID is "red-velvet-bowling-shoes"...........This seller is located in Chicago, and every now and then has some CB stuff listed on ebay...A close friend of Al posted this on Sparky's web site a while back, which is where I got the info....
