I have a 92 Pete and the signal lamps are led all the way around, I have installed a new led flasher and grounded it well, Power is present but this thing doesn't want to flash occasionally.. I checked and repaired some suspect wiring I found but nothing out of the ordinary. Operator tells me it doesn't work "when it's cold", which says nothing but is there something about these older trucks and LED Lights?? Am I missing something?

My 91 you can use LED flashers of any brand make or model. Grounded or not. If it doesn’t have 1 light regular light in signal circuit they will flash never. I just keep a old style stop light wired in each side hid inside the T bar completely outta sight

Could be a bum light. I’ve had to replace the 1 turn signal on the driver side mirror of my 93 Pete 379 twice, for doing the same thing, and both times warranty replaced the light, and it fixed the problem. Been working fine since January.

What is a Old Style Stop Lamp? And What is a TeeBar?
    Thanks for the Reply!

Anything with a bulb is an old style. The LED fo not draw enough current to run the flasher so you have to have 1 light per side to get it to flash.

I have a light bar or t bar on rear that lights go on as well as harness. Has an extra plug for the one light left and right. It’s big enough to put a 4 inch tail light in. I’m not saying this is only way but I am saying I have spent good money after bad trying to do it another way to no avail

I bought some resistors from O Reiley's years ago. Does the same thing for twenty dollars a side instead of two.

Yeah my 01 I tried everything I could and could not get all LEDs to work either.
I run incandescent tail lights but they are a pain in the butt. They don't last!

I’ve had good luck with the el cheapo’s from pilot. Usually about 1.5-2 years.

If youre married to incandescents, you do you, but for 25 bucks you could get a pack of 20 cheapo leds shipped to your house
