I am in the SLC area. I got a cdl in 2018 and never got a driving job due to my driving record. That's clean now.
I'm looking for a company that:
1. Uses automatic transmissions.
2. Doesn't back trailers or extremely little backing.
3. Allows me to bring my dog along.
Thanks.
Specific question.

More and more companies are using automatic transmission. The backing part just takes practice. Some allow pets. You just have call but I would not mention you don't want to back up.
@Chinatown know all the companies hiringtscottme and slow.rider Thank this. -
If you haven’t used your CDL, you probably won’t be able to get a job without a refresher course. And, as has already been mentioned, backing trailers is one of the most important things you’ll do as a truck driver. I’ll freely admit that I was terrible at it when I started, but I practiced as much as I could, whenever I could, and I got competent pretty quickly, and after a couple of months I got good enough that I no longer got nervous about it. And now after a couple of years I’m downright comfortable backing into pretty much any space that it’s possible to back a trailer into.

You face a stumbling block. Most insurance companies require 2 years minimum experience operating like equipment.
You cannot supply this so you need to go back to school; i.e. a refresher course for a 'Mega' carrier [AKA high turnover, self insured] able to hire drivers with next to no experience.
Backing is a fundamental part of trailer truckin'; no way around that.
If you cannot, will not, even in a box truck, stop wasting everyone's time and find another profession.
How does one obtain a Class A and can't back up?ncmickey, CrappieJunkie, spindrift and 3 others Thank this. -
