I have a friend who is a retired ship captain. I will ask him about it. He will be more informed than me and probably Sean Hannity. Although Sean probably disagrees with that statement.

That’s why I have zero sympathy for this type of whining.

As far as I’m concerned that’s the price you pay for living that close to the water, much like the ones that deliberately move in next to the airport.

I think Ontario Canada has a mandatory speed limiter requirement.

Don’t live by a water shipping route…. And that bridge is unsafe should be shut down (no guardrails) . Don’t care if it’s a private bridge……unsafe

So a foot bridge without railings is unsafe, but a ship doing 40% above the speed limit is perfectly fine?

So people who live on a 25 mph street are "whining" when they complain about trucks doing 40 mph on the way to the industrial park?

When sea level rises that neighborhood is gonna be under water anyways. Move to higher ground now…….

And that bridge looks like it’s for automobiles…?

it’s like people who buy a house next to the interstate… then complain about the noise…. And want a wall or berm put up…..

    cke and Oxbow Thank this.

No, but the question is whether the ship in that video is actually speeding. Who’s to say they’re not actually traveling whatever speed maritime regulations require, and this isn’t a case of simply another Karen complaining about things predating his arrival?

TexasRiverRat, cke, Oxbow and 2 others Thank this.

The boat was probably overloaded too…. Making it draft deeper (if that’s the correct term)…….

cke, Oxbow, MACK E-6 and 1 other person Thank this.
