Speed limiter mandate - despite all the push back

Well.....it only takes a few irresponsible drivers to impact change.

 

I predict what will happen is they will start at 65 then wrecks and roadrage will spike to stupid levels, they will blame the trucks and drop it to 55 which will spike it even more. So they will then govern us to the right lane only and wreck/road rage numbers will go absolutely bonkers. So they will mandate interior facing cams and all kinds of other nanny #### because its CLEARLY the drivers fault, And in general just slowly make this industry as controlled as they can shy of uncle sam ramming you up the backside and wearing you like a puppet. And of course the megas will have all kinds of exemptions for safety and crap which will allow them to operate faster and cheaper then anyone else so you will see megas finally able to squeeze O/Os out of the market.

 

It's also an easy way to comply with some of the upcoming Fuel economy/Greenhouse gas reduction Mandates........(In My opinion)

Honestly i was all gung ho to get a cat ploinked into my semi.....im seriously thinking just paying it off then parking it and finding a local less stressful job. Im not quite over that line......YETbut im ballanceing on my toes pinwheeling my arms.

If this is what they want, then if all trucks are set to same speed, then everyone stay in the right lane even through cities and make the merging traffic from on ramps so difficult to even get on the freeway that it causes mayhem and maybe folks will start screaming the public that is…
