If you decide to go in, just remember to dress your best and address him/her as "your honor." You'll be fine. Good luck.
Judges and attorneys are friends, Let the attorney talk for you, its there job and they are good at it.
Yeah, I mean if she has the money, sure. But in her case she doesn't really need it. She's not in trouble. If she makes an appointment and does it, she will be in his/her office, not in the court room. All she would be doing is telling him she wants a job as a commercial driver and she wants a ticket removed from her record and she will never do it again. But, if she has a lawyer already, and can afford one, then why not, I guess..
I had a 74 in a 55 construction zone. Went to court and asked if there's anything I can do. I took defensive driving class. Got it off my record. Does your ticket show on your MVR? And have you passed the point of seeing if it can be removed?
Just stay away from C.R. England. They teach on autos and not enough practice backing up. Make sure you get taught on a manual so you don’t get the auto restriction on your cdl.
Thank you for checking around for me, I truly appreciate it! That's a great suggestion about seeing if I can knock down the ticket to something not as serious. @TravR1 had mentioned seeing if I could contact a judge in my district and that's certainly something I could ask of the judge once I talk to him/her. Thank you for advice!!
I've decided I'll probably try and go to some of the larger companies first to see if they can do any sort of pre-hire or if they'd at least consider taking me on after schooling is complete. Thank you for the advice
