Some companies want to know immediately and some want to know if convicted.
I would't tell them anything right now due to the ticket being over 15 mph, because they'll probably fire you. Wait and see what the lawyer can do.

A court of record would report you citation to the state DMV office. Ruining your MVR. If a court isn't a court of record then citations won't get reported. Once the fine is paid that's the end of it.

Interesting.... this is a possibility considering I’m in rural Maine. Unless it goes to the Augusta court. But I’m assuming it goes to the small court here in the town I was pulled over in. If they are not a court of record, will my company handle things differently? Or do they not need to know where it won’t affect my record?

The court of record doesn’t apply to all states. No such thing here in SC. Even the city ordinances are on the driver history.
