I understand that it’s one liscense. I specified that it was my PERSONAL vehicle because it does make a difference as far as points, severity of consequence, etc,. Does it not?

I’m not making excuses for any of this. I don’t believe anywhere in here have I made an excuse, nor do I intend to. I know full and well I was in the wrong on 3 different accounts. Luckily I was only charged for one.
The question in this post is about minimizing damages from my screw up, and how this works in general with a cdl.
Thanks to everyone whose offered helpful responsesdeathB4decaf Thanks this. -
Back in 2010 I got a ticket in Boise. I was bobtail going out to pick my trailer up at Western. I turned off a side street which was a 45 limit. Saw the motorcycle cop, didn’t think anything of it. Get pulled over because the street I was on was a 30 zone. Money grab in my opinion, something about unmarked streets in Boise being 30, only no signs telling you that. My ticket was for 47 in a 30. I paid the fine in full. When I mailed my check I wrote a letter that basically said “hey I was in the wrong, here’s your money, I’m not trying to get the fine reduced, but if this shows up as a 17 over it could really really hurt my livelihood.” Goes through their system and shows up on my MVR as “local speeding”.Slim51 Thanks this. -
The other 2 charges are small potatoes compared to a 15+ over...... he didn’t do you any favors...
If he wanted to give you a break he could of written the speeding for 13 over....
Justice may be blind but she ain’t cheep.... you gotta fight this ticket. It’s gonna cost Multiple hundreds I would bet....LGarrison Thanks this. -

Hmm... I think I’ll start with that Monday before going forward with the lawyer. My father in law worked for the sheriffs department for a long time and he recommended calling the DA and talking to them.
Yet again I’m learning from my mistakes. I really need to find a better way of teaching myself... -
