I've had several tickets in my personal vehicle and have never had any issues with past employers, in fact my last boss almost fell on the floor laughing when I told him I had to do a driver retraining class. It's always worth trying to get it reduced but As long as it's not in a CMV it's not the end of the world

And on top of that my company’s policy states that after 2 convictions of 15 or more over the limit in a 3 year period, I can be terminated. If there’s more than two years between convictions then I can be dealt with as a first offender upon VP approval.
Waiting for the officer to call my father in law back tonight. Depending on what he says I’ll follow through with contacting the DA, then a lawayer if still necessary.

The company policy is probably somewhat dictated by their insurance company, and they don’t care what you were driving. Best of luck to you. I’ll tip my hat to you for owning up to your mistake and figuring out how to deal with it, most of these threads are just asking how to get out of a ticket.

Again, I would recommend slowing down as your license is your livelyhood, missing a days pay for the retraining course was no fun, nor was the increased insurance, but one ticket isn't going to make you unemployable. But I would try and fight it or get it reduced. -
