Speeding ticket 11 mph over the speed limit - worth to fight?

Fight it but before you hire an attorney you may want to call the jurisdiction that is prosecuting it and explain your situation and see if you can work out an "alternative" to just paying the ticket - maybe pleading guilty to a non-moving violation and paying a higher fine or seeing if they would offer a deferred, where it is dismssed with the completion of some conditions.
If it's too much trouble to get a hold of that person or they say no then you can go and hire an attorney. I have seen this process work in the past for others. Every once in a while you will get someone on the other end that is sympathetic to a professional driver.

 

$800? Fight fight fight. You pay that in increased insurance premiums... Its a no brainer...

 

You're insurance could go up that much pretty easily. I guess I wouldn't fight any ticket that's 10 or more over, there's only one way you'll learn to slow down and if that's what it takes, then that's wha it takes.

 

I was new in town so didn't know anyone. I figured they see it every day and know the score. She did. He got me out of a 62 in a 45 in my car for $150, but the second I was in my truck and it was a state trooper. But as noted above, it's all about the money. Court costs were higher than the ticket.
