This is a perfect example of why using a good GPS is a good idea.
It (usually) tells you when a speed limit change is coming up, with enough time to get your speed down.

I lived in Texas. Lots of 2 lane 75 mph. 60 mph THROUGH a small town? Haven’t seen it.

    D.Tibbitt and roshea Thank this.

Do keep us all posted. I would expect your attorney fees for that to be high as a giraffes bottom.

According to FMCSA regulations, a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) driver can be considered in violation of speeding rules if they exceed the posted speed limit by 15 miles per hour or more, which is classified as "excessive speeding" and can lead to significant penalties including potential CDL disqualification depending on the severity and frequency of the violation.
Key points about FMCSA speeding rules for CMVs:
    • Definition of excessive speeding:
Generally considered as driving 15 mph or more over the posted speed limit.
    • Consequences of speeding:
A single excessive speeding violation can result in points on a driver's record, and repeated offenses could lead to license suspension or disqualification.

Stay in touch with your old company - check back with them in about 6 months if you have not had any additional moving violations. Check your local Amazon Fulfillment centers near you, and write down the names of the trucking companies going in and out. The same with local quarries, construction sites and Truck Stops. You may be able to snag a 1099 gig that way. Also check the railroads, they are hiring and those are good paying jobs. Good luck -pay attention and slow down.

Anything over 5 is usually frowned on.

    10 gets pretty serious.
