Speeding ticket, when to report it to your Company?

me personally i have let the company kno when i recieved a ticket and that i will be fighting it,they usually say let us kno how it turns out but i just like to be up front, probably wouldnt get fired anyway unless you have other tickets but then again ive only done this with smaller companies or contractors i worked for not the megas. prob wouldnt do the same with them which is why i wouldnt work for them,too much hassle just trying to be a human

 

Many companies these days will fire a driver when he reports a ticket, even if he just got the ticket that day.
It's not like the old days. Same with giving a 2 week notice that you're resigning; many companies fire you as soon as you give the 2 week notice. I've seen that at places where I worked.

ya i learned the 2 week notice thing a long time ago when i put in my notice to smith transport out of roaring spring pa, told them i would be putting in my notice and cleaning out my truck when im home for the wknd, they routed me to the terminal with all my stuff, i was young and dumb so i didnt think of renting a car but prob couldnt afford to anyway, thats way i stay away from those companies.

 

yes, they figured once you gave notice, you had no interst in working for them any longer, so they break ties with you, before you can steal anything..

to this day at my ripe OLD AGE, i DO NOT give a 2 week notice...

they WILL NOTICE in 2 weeks, i ain't there
