But that's like picking between the 2 ugly girls at 0200.

I'd rather they used the money to actually get done and out of the way instead of paying some idiot to sit around and decide what goes on the sign next.

 

The ones that really torque my shorts are the ones that every road project has saying "ROAD CLOSED AHEAD" when you finally get to where the road is closed, it isn't the road that you, and the sign, were on. It's on some side street that nobody cares about anyway. Another favorite is "LANE CLOSED AHEAD," but they don't tell you which lane, so you have no opportunity to gently merge into the through lane.
And let me throw in one that is really nothing more than a cherry patch for the local ticket writers: "SLOW, ROAD UNDER CONSTRUCTION FINES DOUBLE FOR SPEEDING" and they have it all cordoned off. But there is nothing going on. Often they don't even have any equipment on scene. Arizona is particularly good for this one, though you find it to lesser degrees on most highway "projects."
