Does anyone know how to take advantage of the 7-3 Split Sleeper Berth on an older PeopleNet system. Twice I have been within two hours of home and had to stop. As soon as I go into the Sleeper Berth mode it says I gain time in 7 hours. Then 7 hours comes and it jumps to 10 hours. Is there a way to use the split and if so how?

PeopleNet should show you available time after 7 hours in sleeper. If you drive 10 hours then do spilt sleeper you would only get 1 hours driving I think. So you can't ever drive more then 11 hours or be On Duty more then 14 I believe. So unless something is wrong with your PeopleNet or it not updated to the new law. You probably don't have hours to drive. If your stopping before getting home because you running out of hours for the day. Then a split sleeper won't do anything is my understanding. If you stopped and had driving time like 3 or 5 hours. Then took 7 in sleeper you can keep driving. 3 or 5 hours.
