    Split-Rock, the parent company of our asset based EverFresh and brokerage VSF, is looking to hire 3-4 new company drivers. We are located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We are West Coast only. California, Oregon, Denver, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. We offer BCBS health insurance, 2017 and newer trucks (Peterbilts & Kenworth, Manual and Auto) running mainly reefers to Cali.

    I wanted to expand upon our company from a list of questions from @trucking for family.

    How is pay calculated?
    Mileage + incentives. (Mileage based, fuel mileage, idling, safety)

    Is layover pay offered?
    Yes

    What benefits are offered?
    Medical, 401k, vacation pay after 1 year, vision and dental are offered at a small weekly cost ($10)

    What is the company's home time policy?
    Our fleet averages 9-14 days out, 2-4 days home. Our dispatch is flexible and will work with you on your preference.

    Do you allow riders?
    Yes we do! We also allow pets

    What type of equipment do you have?
    2017 and newer Peterbilts and Kenworths (579s and T680s) Automatic and manuals on your preference. We trade our trucks in at around 550,000 miles and get a new model truck for you.

    ELD provider
    We use orbcomm as our provider and tomtom tablet devices

    Do we have 24/7 dispatch?
    Yes! Our main dispatchers are 8-6 weekdays and 8-1 on weekends. Our night dispatcher fills in the gaps. We also have an on-site washbay and shop with a mechanic on call to assist with any issues they can.

    What are our safety Standards?
    Hiring wise - 23 years of age, one year OTR experience, no mnore than 3 preventable accidents in the past three years, no more than 3 jobs in the past year.

    How is home time and truck parking handled?
    We prefer our trucks to be left at the lot for service and wash, but if you do not live local we do allow the truck to be brought home. We hire out of our major lanes (CA, CO, FL, TX) and are able to get you home consistently.

    What is your fueling policy?
    We use Tchek fuel cards and prefer Pilot Flying J.

    Is the freight driver load/unload or no touch?
    No Touch frieght!

    Who does the driver communicate issues with if not dispatch related?
    We have an open door policy here at Split Rock. If you have any issues, you can give safety/compliance a call, payroll, the owners, or come talk to us all in person when you are in the yard.

    How are driver assessments done (Reviews)?
    Reviews are performed at 3 months and 1 year, after that they are on a as-needed basis if the driver is having safety issues or wants to meet with any department to address issues.

    What driver options are there available?
    We are based out of Grand Rapids, MI and offer mainly OTR positions but we also have a few regional routes available. We also have a location in Galveston, TX that is strictly regional if you prefer to stay in that area.

    We offer 75% gross of the load, 100% fuel surcharge, we pay for permits and take care of quarterly IFTA.
    No trailer rental fees, we only require deposits for the ELD that will be depreciated over youre time with us and a lease deposit.
