Split Sleep study

No surprise to me either. Back when I teamed in the early '90s we ran 5 on-5 off and it worked great.

 

Problem is the FMCSA cherry picks studies that only benefit what they are trying too do. No matter what we do, they will advance thier agenda regardless. When the new log rules were being created they asked for driver comments and input. Everyone asked for more flexibility, and all they did was tighten the noose around our necks.

 

Be careful what you wish for. Now instead of your dispatcher waking you up after your 10 hour break, they'll be calling you exactly 5 hours after you go to line 2.

 

Last I checked my phone had an Off function.

 

I would LOVE to go to a 5/5 split!! I team and it would be AWESOME!!

 

I MISS being able to go 5 on 5 off so bad. I never had back and sore body aches then, but sure do now. They claimed it was better for driver health, well I wish they would sit still for 10 to 11 hours 70 hours a week and see how they feel.

 

Doesn't surprise me at all. Takes a full week of running nights before I can get a solid 7-8 hours of sleep during the day. Until then its just torture, and by day 8 their flipping me back to days
