Funny that OSHA is oddly silent about this. They stick their beaks into every other daggoned thing.

Right, and the ACLU.. I guess the ACLU realizes that many truck drivers are conservatives.. and the ACLU isn't...

HOWEVER !!! Back in the day you could keep your windows open, and sleep in a hammock under the truck if you wanted to, Yeah you try that now, let us all know how it feels to have you throat slit, or robbed of everything you own cause you had the window open trying to get air in your sleeper.... These companies want to whine about idle times then they need to open they're tight ##### wallets and drop some money on APU's
These idle laws and companies policies are BS !!!!

That's not true, I had a guy that would sleep on his flatbed so he wouldn't have to idle. He never got killed. I mean he could have, but he didn't. I told him I thought it was a bad idea, leaves the truck unattended and the potential thief can see the driver sleeping on the flatbed. If I was going to steal a truck that's the one I'd go for.

Why do people blame others for their decision's?

All the whining and sobbing on a board. All the request's for others to step in? All the envy of others life?

I can not fathom all this teeth nashing here were it only shows the low regard you hold yourself. Step up and tell the people you think their a sac-o-crap and they can take their crap and shove it!

Ive never been hassled in an no idle state but if I were I dont think Id be able to be civil about it. The truck is MY HOME and NOBODY would put up with being hot or cold in their home, and what about the police who NEVER shut their cruisers off while on duty? I could go on forever about this, it just rubs me the wrong way:biggrin_25516:

Yeah, that's just a bad idea. Don't give the owners of the companies any ideas. If you keep saying it's my home, I live here, nobody can tell me what to do in my home, than they are going to start charging you rent and utilities. Some things are better left alone.
