Oh I dunno. My wife is 12 years younger than me-and her mom is 10 years older than me. Last week she(mother-in-law) came into the bar where myself and a couple of friends were downing/drowning a "few"....and one said to me '#####..she's still hot'!! All I could say was..."Yup". :biggrin_255: Course that's not spooky but I admit a bit creepy...What the Hell is this thread about again?!? :biggrin_2559:

Wide spot on US 189, Hoback Canyon, Wyo.. It was about 10 pm when I stopped, lots of signs warning of bears and porcupine in the area. It was in the 40's, shut the truck down and crawled in the sleeper. So quiet you could hear yourself and the truck think. Not even the whisper of wind. Put up my wrap around curtain, crawled in the sleeper. Couple hours later there was a huge pounding and rocking of the truck, only lasted a minute. Scared the beejezus out of me. Few second later it happened again, but this time on the emergency door of the sleeper, followed by lots of growling and grunting. BEAR!!! Third time was on the passengers door again. I didn't even get dressed, only ripped away enough of the curtain to see out my windshield, didn't wait for the engine to pre-start, and drug the trailer tires for a good 50 ft before they were fully released. Drove about 20 miles to a lighted pull out. Finally got dressed, took down the curtain and got out to look. Massive paw marks on the side of the truck.

Back many years ago just starting out drivin I was down on I-10 Louisiana, about 3am and pitch dark. Pulled off at an exit ramp and parked on the side to get a couple hours sleep. Got in bunk and about 10 minutes later truck for no reason dies. Get up, look out curtains cant see a thing. Restart truck, runs fine and on the radio the song by Bobby Bare comes on, Marie Laveau. swear to God as soon as the song was over the truck died again for no reason whatsoever. At this point Im thinking I really dont need any sleep anymore started truck and got outta there :biggrin_25524:.

If you dont know the song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOa-PCiraO0

To this day I refuse to stop on an exit ramp in the bayou.

OMG, did the boogie man scare you?
I was based out of Laredo and there is nothing to be afraid of. If the truck stops bother you, park on the street in one of the industrial parks, nobody is going to do anything.

Really? You were basically parked at a police station... Now the tiny ### Quik Trip locations that have like 15-20 parking spots in Fort Worth would be just a tad more noteworthy...

I picked up at the Faygo bottling facility on 10 mile rd in Detroit, doesn't really get much closer to the ghetto slums than that!
