I was curious about the springfield terminal and their orientation. Also I was wondering the size and roads of Springfield itself. I've got a few months behind me but just wondering if the road test will have some tight turns. Does everyone have a good attitude in Springfield?
Thanks in advance!
Springfield, OH orientation, etc...

Springfield terminal I doubt will have tight turns. Its right off the interstate. The lot might be the most difficult part. Its small & busy every time I've been there.
The people there are friendly. -
Thanks for that. I got to comparing it to KLLM's terminal in Jackson and it's a lot bigger. So I'm pretty confident in the backing.

Go into the road test knowing you passed. Their testing you on how safe of a driver you are.

Thanks for the words of confidence. I'm a good driver and all just those road test always make me uneasy.

USX's terminal in Springfield is off I-70, but I can't remember if that's the one that is outside the city or not (I may be thinking of Werner's terminal). Springfield isn't a light traffic city, but the roads are pretty basic anyways. I don't know if they take you downtown for the test or not, but you shouldn't have a problem in any case. Best of luck driver!

I appreciate it. Only problem I had when I was in jxn for kllm was a tight right turn we done downtown. But even though I took up the whole road I never hit anything.

Did you look at Howard Transportation in MS?
100% no-touch freight. -
If they take the same route we did when I took my road test it's all outside of town. There was one turn that can seem intimidating(turning from a normal road to a busy two lane highway) but just take your time and you will be fine. It does go up by the mall but all the turns by there are controlled by lights. It's maybe five miles if that, one drives out and t the other drives in. At least they moved the snow scraper, it was a pain in the rear when it was by the gate.lol!! You should be fine. Good luck!!
Live06 Thanks this. -
Only reason I was going to USX was for the dedicated account up in Auburn. Honestly, looking forward to getting out of Mississippi.
