I have a problem with this internet card sometimes. If everythings okay then its a blinking green light. Blinking red light means I need to pull it out and reinsert it. Continuous orange light means I have to restart the whole dang computer from what I know. Anybody else know how to get around this?

I'm not sure about Sprint. I have Verizon and its:
    Green - online service available
Red - No / Extremely weak service
Orange - Only seen it once I think it was something to due with being in an area that has service but you need to update your card to use it because its a new coverage area. Maybe you restarting things is installing the update? Hope this helps. Also I heard there is something going on with Sprint and Cingular changing there networks around a little. This could be part of it. I'd call sprint.

BTW: For any one that cares I wouldn't trade my Verizon wireless for anything.

This is an old post, not even sure if you're still having the problem, but figured I might be able to help people now with the same problem.

Orange is usually a bad thing and should only come on while updating the card or if there is a problem with the card. I had a compatability problem with my PC Card slot and when I tried updating my modem's firmware it'd fail halfway through, leaving me a dead card with a solid orange light.

I guess I should've asked which card it was first, but I assumed the PX-500.
Anyways, you can't do the firmware updates and PRL updates without running connection manager. I also use the dial-up connection or NDIS, both of which don't require running connection manager. I only use the connection manager for changing the card's mode and the GPS functionality. It's also nice for viewing the signal strength.
