Sprint removing Unlimited 4G November 2011

And right now I currently have the epic touch sgs2 the upgrade from the og epic with this phone the only reason I would want to root is to be able to roam on verizon's network whenever I wanted to because sprints network is sloooow with the og epic I flashed and rooted all the time it got old flashing roms it seemed like everytime I went out otr my phone would take a dump on me so if your root Make sure u bring a laptop so u can fix the phone yourself while otr

Also a couple of devices will be getting the ics update ice cream sandwich the sgs2 being 1 of those so I will be waiting instead of flashing 1 of the ics roms

you can roam Verizon all you want already...rooting won't allow you to use their network, without it being roaming, and incurring any roaming charges, you can't "HIDE".
I'm running the ACS ICS ROM. It's Gingerbread based, but emulates ICS

 

To have that extra option to show up I do need to be rooted

I have the overdrive in my truck (hotspot) and when i found out that Sprint was breaking their own contract i called and said that i would no longer be holding up my end of it either. I was told that they are not breaking it, apparently its in fine print that they can do as they please. Still i pitched a fit and got a manager to let me out of the contract. I told them to write it down in my customer notes, that i didn't want to do it right that second. So I still have the overdrive, i can get out of the contract anytime i want by telling customer service to refer back to the notes in the last week of october. I like to watch hulu in the truck and i notice that as of today my 4g is still unlimited....

I know! I know...! i have gone to the xda site before and researched it. but apparently i need someone to hold my hand or something. My co-worker has a friend who rooted his epic (same phone as mine) for him and he downloads and sells movies with it for crying out loud. I am thinking he will draw attention to himself but i would be under the radar...Anyway i got his phone number and was going to have him walk me thru it but never got around to it. Tbh.. i have turned on the hotspot before (i paid for it for a night) and it worked better than the overdrive. I might pm one of you guys or go back to that site again..
