Great news for Sprint. Great news for someone wanting an iPhone with unlimited data.

I was on sprint for a lot of years, and the network was not that great in many areas I was running. Was fine for phone calls, but once I started using phone as wifi for my laptop, I learned quickly sprints limitations. I Also had nothing but troubles with the last phones we had from them, a pair of Samsung Epic 4g's. I went with the iPhone 4 after Verizon got them and have had excellent results. I am quite happy with my iPhone 4, so will probably not upgrade for a while. By then the iPhone 6 will be talked about. But I will not go back to Sprint. I guess it really depends on where you live and how well the network coverage is where you will be using any phone the most. But I knew that, sooner or later, even Sprint would be able to get the iPhone.

wait, you're happier with an iPhone thsan an epic? I can't type enough lolololol The Android system is 10000x superior to the iPhone, growing exponentially, compared to the iPhone, and Android phones actually work well as PHONES (the same cannot be said about the iPhone)
Good for Sprint, being able to get teenage girls interested in them, and like was said, good for someone who for some unspeakable reason likes the iPhone and wants true unlimited data. Though with Jobs stepping down, they will be letting anyone and everyone have access to the iPhones, so they can try and maintain some sort of marketshare
Sprint is lacking greatly in coverage in many rural areas, but they are truly unlimited, and FAR le$$ than anyone else for anything remotely comparible plan wise
Last month I used in excess of 72GB of bandwidth with Epic. I have it rooted and use it as a wifi hotspot for my laptop, and streaming movies etc to my Vizio LED in the truck, as well as use it to video chat with my family. You would have to give me a case of iPhones in exchange for my Epic (and I'd just sell the iPhones to buy more Epics anyway lol
I have yet to encounter an iPhone user who can locate/access data/sites/info/apps faster than I am on my Epic. -
Fanboy wars are so funny lol

I'm more of Apple hater than anything lol
Pur48Ted Thanks this. -
Yep, happier with my iPhone 4 than the Epic I had. But then typing and messaging is not my primary use with either. The iPhone has proven go be more hardware relible than the Epics we had. And based on where I primarily operate, Verizon is giving better overall service quality than Sprint. And I also like that I have since put my iPod in a drawer and use the iPhone for that now. Cut me from 2 devices to one. Ya know, it all comes down to what works best for what a person wants to do. I use my iPhone as a wifi hotspot for my laptop as well. But, like I said, where I operate, I get better service and results with this setup. The iPhone has the FaceTime video chat feature, but I never use it. We have never used it on our iMac at home either. But then I get by the house a couple of times a week and off on the weekends, so it really wasn't one of the features we were looking at when we chose the iPhones. And video streaming to a tv in the truck is s non issue. Haven't had a tv in my truck for... 12 years now. No need. I use the laptop to watch shows once in a while. I never sit long enough to justify putting a tv back in the truck. At most it would get used about an hour a day, if that. After taking care of everything else during a break, I usually am asleep before I get thru a show or movie on my laptop. But others may find a tv justified.

To say that Android works 1000% better than an iPhone simply isn't factual. Android phones have their own issues since the operating system is "open" and just about anyone can program it Google has already had to remove many malicious programs from the app store. Android also has more of a learning curve that many people don't want to deal with. I've also seen reports on line of Android phones having issues with locking up from time to time.
You obviously don't understand Apple users. They are much more than teenage girls. People of all ages use them, and love them. They always will because Apple makes an excellent product. The same goes for their computers, IPads, and IPods.
Everyone is lacking in many rural areas. That is just a fact of the wireless world that we live in. Look at anyone's coverage map, and you will see "holes" throughout the country.
You rooted your Epic 4G. That's great. You're in a small minority of people who care about doing that with their phone.
I read many forums on web sites that deal with wireless phones. You sound like the typical Apple hater. Android works for you, that's great. You can slam their products all you want in order to feel better about yourself and what you use. Apple users everywhere will continue to use their products, and will continue to laugh at all the ignorant people who tell them that they shouldn't.
By the way, I don't use an IPhone. I use Windows Phone 7.
