Wow, that sucks. I have never heard of such a thing. Good luck getting it all sorted out.

Try US Cellular if they are near where you are. We've had them for several years, and never any issues with roaming on their national plan.
-
I've been with Sprint for about 8 years and I use them for phone and internet service, I run everywhere and use my phone constantly...I have never had a problem with them.
The coverage and service that I get with Sprint are far better than I ever had with Verizon and I don't have to put up with Verizons constant billing problems.
I'm almost never in my home billing area which is Utah even though I live in northern California right now and I hardly ever even get to Utah anymore which is where the company that I'm leased to is based.
I've never heard of anyone having that problem with any carrier. -
I was the same way as you I loved sprint Ive ben on the phone with customer service all morning and they keep telling me the same thing so be warned I was with them for 2 yrs and never a problem till yesterday they said its in there disclaimer about using roaming too much I don't know but they told me they kick allot of truckers off for it. I do use allot of my data minutes and that was why I just got an evo htc that I use the wifi hot spot and may be that was it

Sounds fishy to me. Never heard of such bs.

You probably have the wrong plan...My "local calling area" is the whole lower 48 and Hawaii and Alaska therefore I never "roam" The same with my data service.
Check the plan that you have and change it to what works for someone that travels as much as you do.outerspacehillbilly and JimDriv3r Thank this. -
JimDriv3r Thanks this.

I had the national unlimited every thing plan
with all the extras and wifi hot spot for htc evo I paid out the wazoo for it -
I even asked the customer support about changing my plan and she told me that I was using way to much data while roaming and that I needed to find out the towers I was using and go to them so sprint would'nt have to be a go between I even asked here if there was an add on price so I could stay with sprint and she said there isnt
