Oh my God, they never stop. Let me ask you a question. Why does it always have to antagonistic? I mean we are saying we don't want to be watched day in and day out and you're saying "no, no, the cameras are there for you". Well we are saying we don't want them, we hate them in fact yet you still insist on them. Why? Why does every trucking exec complain about driver shortage and do crap like this?
Listen to what you just said. We can address bad behavior and correct it. My God man do you not see how incredibly offensive that is? I would literally hate you if I was forced to put up with someone just watching me all day. Honestly, do you want a camera in your face at all times? Do you not realize that freedom is a huge draw to people looking, and staying, in trucking? How can you be so blind as to not get that?
Basically, pretending I'm a driver for your company. A guy like me, who has never been late, had an accident or even ticket and doesn't complain. Why can't you just let me be? Why antagonize me? I just don't get it. I'm telling you, if I was at your company my truck wouldn't even make it to the shop for you to put the camera in before I quit. That day I'm gone, it's a matter of principles. Honestly, I know it's the internet and I shouldn't take this personally since I don't know you but I absolutely hate and have no respect for people like you. People that hate, despise privacy. People that are intent on taking every bit of what little values are left in trucking, namely freedom, and just throwing them away. Why do you need to micromanage?
Every driver swerves man. You wanna know a trick every driver uses before reaching for a drink, or a bag of chips or whatever? We check our mirrors and do it when nobody is around us. We know we might swerve in doing it so we make it as safe as possible. It's not hard, I'm not going to stop doing it and you are not going to watch me.
But I don't know why I'm getting so worked up. I'll simply use the camera as a hat rack and you won't fire me. You know why? Because I don't hit things, deliver on time and don't complain and at the end of the day that's all you care about and you know it. So you will just look the other way while I do my job, the same one I've been doing without you "help" for years.
Spy ware in the truck??

And if I had a BA I could EASILY do what most dispatchers do that I work with now, and in the past. I dont know where in the hell they get these guys from, but trust me, most of them are sub-par by a long shot. Thats what happens when you dont pay them a decent salary I suppose.
Oh, yeah, and it MIGHT help if they drug -tested these ### clowns like they do we drivers, once in a while as well. -
They would fire you....
Because you would probably be at their highest pay rate. And they would like to pay someone else far less......
P.S. Most Trucking company exectutives do suck.... -
If they want to hire some pendejo who thinks he can do what I do, may the Maker help them. I will just be working somewhere else that treats senior drivers like they should be treated. I am not about to kiss anyones arse to keep a job I am highly skilled at for many years.ethos and Tonythetruckerdude Thank this. -

And this would only happen after whatever situation was reviewed and it was determined to be driver related. The point of the safety department should be to build guys up and to try to assist them in doing their jobs safely. They only way training would be involved would be if a driver demonstrated multiple events that could be attributed to driver negligence.truckon Thanks this. -
