I hate to see someone spend money on that Ranger SRA-198 microphone when they already have an Electro-Voice 602T in their possession.
I think you are going to be disappointed

The limitations are the audio chain but it starts with the mic and what purpose the mic is serving.
Kc0 has a good point and you are wrong about high fidelity, there is a bug difference between communications clarity and high fidelity, one reason why a mission critical setup will not have a high fidelity (you can call it pa or studio grade) mic as its input device but communication grade mic.
Got to go, will tell you more later.rabbiporkchop and darthanubis Thank this. -
Phone calls shipping ordering recieving etccc etcc are also part of it. Maybe he needs to hire someone to help with the other crap while he tunes the radios.darthanubis and rabbiporkchop Thank this. -
I tried to tell him he needs to stay out of the Limelight and just hire someone to be his face to the public and answer phones.
darthanubis, Ougigoug and davew48 Thank this. -

According to this article even the best ham radios won't pass above 3500 hz frequency response. I guess that explains why they always sound kind of flat like they're missing something in the audio.

I wonder how Mark consistently gets over 4,000 Hertz to pass through the audio chain on every radio that he works on?
Supposedly working on radios is so easy that even a caveman could do it but no one wants to
Offer step by step instructions on how to accomplish that type of frequency response.
