160 has a horrible reputation.
I think, you need to look at quality team carriers. Then, find out what schools they accept. You don’t want to spend the money on training, then, find out no one will accept their training program.
Dot Foods teams have fairly set schedules of ~5 days out, 2 off, every week. When I was there, the teams I spoke to were all over $125K, per driver.
Look at UPS. They have some of the highest earnings, anywhere. But, I don’t know what kind of schedule their teams run.
You REALLY need to fully understand how many teams run. With Dot, the truck is moving, 24hrs/day, for the whole 5 days you’re out. Yes. You will get a chance to fuel and shower. But, nothing else. That gets old in a hurry. If you land with an abusive company, they’ll flat run you two into the ground.
