Has anyone came up with an alternative to these cheap junk bushings that KW sells for the W9's?

I am getting tired of replacing them, I don't have any with me on this trip and have the one on the drivers side squeaking like crazy, haven't been able to get to a dealer because of routing to get some, been spraying a little WD-40 on it to quiet it down, but that is now starting to get blown out onto the side of the sleeper.

I have some urethane bushings I found on Ebay for my Pete, not sure if it's the same, but you might check there.

Yes and no. If you need to replace them now you're better off calling 4 state and getting the 12.99 bushings they sell that are overpriced and that cheap urethane crap. Mine had the original bushing on it that were soft rubber and they were good. They'd been on there since manufacture by the looks of it. I have the poly bushings now I needed them done quick and didn't have time for parts to be ordered.

Shock bushings can be found at O'Reilly rubber ones are better they're probably going to run you about $30 after all is said and done but they should last longer. Also you can look into motor mount bushings. GM makes one that would've been perfect for mine but they only had 1 and it was going to take a week to get more. Hazards of living in a small town. But those would be my suggestions. The rubber seems to last better than the hard poly bushings. We replaced all the original hardware with grade 8 from TSC. If its rusted I'd recommend doing that too by the time a shock bushing or one of those motor mount bushings finally gives out. Bolts are cheap especially at TSC when you pay by the pound instead of the piece. Only place I can buy a 1" grade 8 bolt 3" long for .99

I thought Peterbilt stacks were bolted to the cab.

That they are. Cab bracket bolts to the cab, center spool bolts to the cab bracket with 3 bolts.

Between the cab bracket and the pipe bracket. Not gonna work on the KW. After 4 sets of the crap they are pushing now,(KW) and 2 sets of pipe brackets and stainless pins this is what I have come up with so far. I'm thinking about putting 2 new pipes on the mufflers that are 12-18" longer and leaving it that way.

Here is a picture of the setup from the bottom. The bushing is 2 pieces. The bottom piece has a round extended hole that slides up intothe cab bracket, top piece slides over, muffler sits on top of that bolt comes down through tthe bottom. It'd not very clear because I didn't pull the heat shield but hopefully that gives you an idea. I have yet to own a w9 and don't know how yours is setup I assumed they were roughly the same.

I replaced mine this wknd. I remembered I had extra front hood bushings I got in a kit I got off ebay that I didn't use. I had 4 urethane bushings shaped like a top hat. I took the bracket loose so I could get the old bushing out. I set one top hat on top of the other and trimmed 1/2 inch off each end. Placed bushings in between bracket and tightened it down. The hole in the bushing was the right size for the sleeve and bolt.

At some point the stacks are coming off mine and this will be the fix.
