i just placed an order for 8 inch Dynaflex stacks for a 389 and i went with 13,4 top stack. My question is will that be taller than my reefer (like stick higher?) i dont want to go under a low bridge and tear em off.

How tall is your reefer? Most are no more than 13'6". So if you have 13'4" stacks, and a 13'6" trailer, and the stacks hit, they'll be the least of your worries.
-
How could you not know how tall your trailer is while you're ordering parts yo make your truck look "cool"?
13'4" are fine to answer your question on a standard size trailer. But seriously, just don't go under a bridge shorter than 13'6" like everyone else with a box doesn't do. -
Ik trailer is 13,6. I wasnt sure how the stacks r measured. On the pic from the Dynaflex it says from ground up?
-
From the ground to the top of the stacks you don't wanna be higher than 13'6". I'm not sure but I think that's as high as you could legally go.
QuietStorm Thanks this. -
You did not know how tall your trailer is? So you could have call DynaFlex and asked them also. IF it says from the ground up,,, then they are 13'4" from the ground up...

No, they make trailers 14' high... mostly out west..win-some-loose-less, rbrtwbstr and Bakerman Thank this.
-
From my understanding, the only thing that can be 14' is a load on a flatbed. Anything permanently mounted on equipment is 13'6". This is in California.
-
I drove for Knight back in 2008, they had 14' trailers... very common out west where the overpasses are much higher than 13'6".
FMCSA does not regulate the Height/width of trailers. This is a State to State thing.
Federal Size Regulations for Commercial Motor Vehicles - FHWA -
Doesn't Gardner have 14' trailers ?
