For those that don’t know, a Landoll won’t have stake pockets like a flat or a normal step. They have a I-beam outer beam. The stake pockets will go through the top beam flange, and will be much stronger than than a normal stake pocket, spool, and rub rail setup.
All that being said, I still wouldn’t want pockets over the standard chain slots that Landolls come with. I just don’t see any advantage to it, unless you have a reason to put actual stakes in them.

This was a request the drivers made for their container deliveries. I wasn't in the meeting so I do not know the details provided by the lead driver but whatever it was they seemed to have offered a reasonable argument.
