Otr? You live in the truck, park your car in the yard snd drive home on hometime. Save money to move and go local then, if that's what you want.

You and me both. I had electronics training in the Air Force all I needed was to learn how to wire the panels and I would have had a great, high paying career.

I wouldn't change a thing. I'd rather do lots of travelling for less money.
Lots of travelling in my life and wouldn't have it any other way. US Navy, Merchant Seaman, long haul trucking, vacations overseas. Spent 3 mos. travelling overseas this past summer and itching to go again.
Considered working on cruise ships, but too many people on those. Got some offers from cruise ship lines though.

    lual and Opus Thank this.

Some friends of mine went into this career; one a cook (culinary) and one a deckhand.

    I wouldn't change a thing.
My life has been like Forrest Gump.
    I won't go into details, but I wouldn't change a thing.

I say life is like a mosaic.
If you stare at one tile, it will be either black or yellow.
Whereas, if you step back and take in the whole picture, it's a masterpiece.
Life is a combination of good times and bad times. How you appreciate either one determines your happiness.

Had a job offer as a seaman ported in Singapore. Located housing for me and family in a beachfront condo. Preparing to move, then the better-half decided she didn't want to go.
