Get your CDL however you please. Don't worry about the transmission. Most new drivers don't last 90 days out here anyways. There will be plenty of time to learn how to shift gears. I trained on 10 speed about 5 years ago. Don't have a restriction on my license. Been in an automatic ever since.

Wow! Not only did none of you answer my original question, most of you have proven to be sensitive keyboard warriors that don’t bring anything to the table besides negativity. You may not like my opinions and that’s fine but assuming I know nothing about trucking and criticizing me because I’m new to the forum is just silliness. I’m sure there is a wealth of info on this forum and some really amazing mentors, I just haven’t come across them yet.
