    They treat drivers like crap
    They require a $1k+ deposit (Escrow) from you and will never get it back
    The Russian owner will steel your money
    They charge for tires - no matter what
    just ask before you work for them - You will see I am telling the truth

    Most of these outfits should be paying earnest money to the driver applicants.
    If the terms of employment have been met by the employer, then a weekly pull from each weeks check till the earnest money is repaid.

    Man I opened this thread because I was thinking about Star Transportation in Nashville lol!!!! I'm thinking, man, them being under Covenant's umbrella messed them up that bad? Perhaps the OP went to the wrong Star Transportation

    We have a Russian outfit in Canada, called Highlight Motor Freight. I looked into them once, and it was the most confusing and ### backwards pay plan/setup I had ever seen. But they could charge you for tires/damage/lates etc etc etc. How they are even allowed to operate is beyond me, WHY anyone would work for them these days is beyond me.
