I would also like some info on Star Transportation. I am going to start training on 7/9. I live in Ohio but my daughter lives in Murfreesboro and I would like to be closer to her. I know Star has a terminal in Murfreesboro. Is it a decent company to work for? What is their attitude toward female drivers?

Any info and/or advice is appreciated.

Check the forum boards for Company's good and bad... but personally, I'd start with their CSA score here: http://ai.fmcsa.dot.gov/SMS/Data/carrier.aspx?enc=YfNiFPIWkC3ig1cDyzgL3g== it looks pretty good. I've heard good things about them, but no personal experience. If you check out the forum boards about them, just make sure to read it with a grain of salt. People tend to complain more than compliment. :D

    Good Luck.

    Scarlet Termite Thanks this.

Personal experience right here. They promise home time but of course do not. They will run you as much as you want. When I started there they made it mandatory to take the per diem. In which they took 3 cpm for what Im not sure. So if you made 32 cpm you only really made 29. I live in Louisville KY and they never routed me through my house they. Unless I was pleading to get home. All in all, its all lies but really no company is perfect.

It says they are home almost every weekend. So this isn't true I'm guessing?
