start at trainco driving school on 1/30

Just thought i would tell everybody that im going to start at trainco in perrysburg ohio on 1/30. I'll try and keep yall updated on my experience throught my time there.

 

Yeah ive talked to a few guys about it. they all had good things to say about it. Thanks for your input!

 

So far the instructors have been great. very informitive. Monday we just has classroom stuff. Lots of handouts and went over what were gonna learn. Tuesdays we started out in the classroom in the morning then in the afternoot we went out side and did alot of drop and hooks and some straight line backing. I didnt have a problem with it because of my farm background. Today we had job fair day and talked to abunch of recruiters. Just to list some.. TMC, PGT, Werener, Swift, Garner and Schneider. Tmorrow i do beleive we will be out side most of the day. If i remember right Neil... my first instructor... said we will start with bobtail shifting in the am then i do beleive truck and trailor driving. All in the yard. I think in the afternoon we are bobtailing on the road but im not 100% on that. Tomorrow i will add some more which will wrap out week up. We have class mon-thurs 8am to 6pm. If anybody has any questions i may beable to answer them or i can get a answer in a day or so.

 

Thursday was full of bobtail shifting in the morning then in the afternoon was straight line backing with trailors. Over all for me it was pretty easy because of my farming background. SOme of the guys were have some real problems shifting and backing. Monday were going on the road, bobtail first then with trailors. Over all the intructors are great. You can tell sometimes they get frustrated, but they dont start yelling at you. They just step away for a min then come back. So far i have a few pre hires but im looking at pgt and btc. i want to do flatbed. Im waiting on tmc to process things.
