Maybe he’s talking about foreigners being in this country, they would need a passport if there not US citizens?
    Just thinking out loud?

Bean Jr., Oxbow and JolliRoger Thank this.

He has bad info. I have lived in az my entire life . Have been thru probably a thousand border checks at thus point . Been secondary searched a couple times . Never once gave an ID of any kind. The only time they ask for it is for non citizens

If you look like a foreigner or a ferriner, they let you know because there might be a language barrier present, or a berrier:p

    Numb Thanks this.

The very fact that they ask and expect you to be required to answer if you are a citizen while traveling within the United States is a violation. It doesn't matter how easy or hard it is.

Do you need one if you are a furrier or a ferrier? What if you are a barrister?

Bean Jr., Speedy356 and Numb Thank this.

I got mine for one trip to England and Wales in 2004

let it expire as I have zero desire to visit other countries

England and Wales was great , but flying is such a pain in the keyster that I’d be fine if I never got on a plane again

Wife and I just flew to Maine for a week , rented a car and looked at lighthouses for three days and then took some dirt roads in the national forest to New Hampshire and spent three days looking at old covered bridges .

but flying is just such a hassle .

I think they all need one.
That was supposed to say, they let them go, proof reading is not one of my specialty’s before hitting post:D
