Start School in So Cal Jan 16th

Here goes,
First of all, I have looked into acquiring my CDL license for several years now. I have followed this web site, and the posters as they related to OTR's experiance, especially sammycat and others insight and encouragement. Little about me:
46Yr old Combat Vet Living in Southern Ca, that has been extremely successfull in the construction field for the last 10 years. Unfortunately this industry has hit several road blocks that I feel they cannot recover from for at least the next 3to five years. I'm not going to sit around collecting UI benifits and robbing other tax payers of their money while I apply for job after job that has over 2,000 qualified candidates.

I Know what this job and it's life style entails, and actually, I happen to enjoy driving, and all the time I've spent on the road over the years. I have no issues running from coast to coast, and have done it so many times in my 1 ton truck, that I realize that the truckers on the highways tend to be your best assets, not the idiot commuters. Flash your lights as they pass you and are clear, they recipricate by flashing theirs, saying Thank You.

I will begin training Jan 16th @AIT in Fontana CA, and I have found their staff to be both profestional and courtious. They offer several carriers that have prequalified me, I just dont know which one I will choose yet, ( Swift, Schneider, Werner, and Covenant ).

Any insight to both the possitives and negitives of these carriers and AIT that you have experienced would be greatly appreciated.
