Keep in mind also that the APU isn't the only thing you should focus on. I mean, they're nice, but if a company is crap to drive for, then they're crap to drive for, with or without an APU. If I had a Dollar for every time I'd see these cases of tunnel vision where someone ended up with a crap employer for the sake of some chrome, some small creature comfort, etc.... I'd start my own OTR company with APUs and find drivers willing to accept peanuts for payment so long as they had the APU.

Recruiter told me they have a mix of APUs of that Battery system that recharges when you're driving (forgot the name)
Either it's good enough to heat and cool your truck.

Not the nicest of trucks nor not the most loaded but where else are you gonna earn 43 CPM with 1 year exp?

Both Gordon and Stevens have APU's, of the two Gordon was better, but not sure now that they are heartland.

One of those type of systems is ClimaCab.
I have seen some of their (Crete) Prostars with some type of Electric 'APU' also.
Even Tyson is switching or getting a lot of the Battery 'APUs'.

They can call them what they want, If I were looking for a Company with APUs., I would not consider them if they had the battery systems.

I had a Cascadia with the Climacab for a while, was less then impressed with it.

I think most new Drivers (especially) prolly think more along the lines of a
Thermoking Tripac or Carrier Comfortpro APU anyway, NOT a Battery system.

grr..I don't know why/how it did the Double Quote and it won't let me remove it, keeps putting it back.
    Oh well.

.43 cpm doesn't mean much if you don't get plenty of miles plus assessorial pays.

Wow! That some impressive driver innovations. I would bet in the old days it was innovative to give a driver
    1. Free log books and a clicky ink pen
    2. Coffin sleepers
    3. A toll card
    4. Free throttle springs
    5. A free 800 number for dispatch and service

so innovative with driver comforts....On Guard is not a plus!
