I beg to differ. They came out with auto because the industry needed drivers and the new monkeys couldn't shift to save there life's. So they came out with a dumbie proof idea. Auto trucks. No power, no control, nothing but rolling scrap, but hey got steering wheel holders. No drivers though.

As Upright stated, keep spacing and a rolling speed. That is the best way to get a jam moving. Other wise it is just a big "slinky". I as well have never wished in those situations for an auto.
Shifting is half the fun.
Also, when that fancy transmission quits in the middle of one of those one lane construction backups or at an intersection in a big city, I wonder if that driver will get on his CB and brute how he has the latest and greatest..... -
