Yeah you should be good to get a hazmat or TWIC, but it'll take a special rehabilitation certificate from Canada's prime minister before you can get into the country on a charge as serious as yours. Its about $800 to get the ball rolling on that, but there is no guarantee you'll get it. If you are serious about it you can consult a Canadian immigration attorney about the process.

Good luck to you and keep your head up and nose clean. -
the problem is the way charges are grouped. i was arrested for growing marijuana so i can understand the manufacturing part of the charge but the rest of the stuff grouped with it is the part that screws me. there was no distributing or delivering and the police knew that from surveillance. it wasnt even mentioned in court.
my charge is listed like this 35 § 780-113 §§A30 Manuf/Del/Poss/W Int Manuf Or Del
35 P.S. 780-113(a)(30) defines manufacturing, delivering or possession with intent to distribute

GREAT day today. Got the license and got the job!!! They said they would find someone to take me out on the run and send me with in the next couple of days and when the guy training me says im ready they'll assign me a truck and send me on my way. it pays $340 per run which consists of going and picking up from one PA farm and then delivering mainly to kentucky or north carolina then coming home empty after my 10. they are running all newer freightliner and internationals. oh and paper logs
now i just need to gather up everything i need for the truck. wasnt expecting to find a job within hours of getting the license so i dont even have the necesities like atlas or maglight yet.Drivers girl, Snowshoes and MrIT Thank this. -

As far as a stay at home dad, it is a job and really a lot safer than worrying about who is taking care of your kids, it is hard to find good babysitters and there have been so many crimes committed by babysitters that I hate to see anyone having to rely on one. I would perhaps see if I could get a notorized statement from your wife that you did watch the children while she was working for those years, and that it was an unpaid job. Also it wouldn't hurt if you could get your in-laws and parents to also do a statement.
PA has some fun roads, just be safe during the winter months. -

Tuesday couldnt come fast enough.......
started my "test run" 3am friday and was on my way to pick up from a farm 10 minutes from the shop and headed to Winston Salem NC and then back empty. got home and laid down at 10am saturday morning and the owner called and woke me up at noon. apparently the trainer gave me stellar reviews. The owner called asking if i could make it today to the company's choice doctor for the DOT physical and drug testing (even though i just had both 2 months ago at start of school) if he could get me in and i said sure. sadly he coudlnt get me in untill tuesday morning and says as soon as im done there and get back to the shop we'll get everything buttoned up and official and assign me my own truck complete with a tanker of raw milk headed south..
im overjoyed. i really enjoyed the test run and was sad to come home. i did ask that someone meet me at the farms we pick up at because i wasnt sure i could remember every step of the milk loading process after the one morning. luckily he said that someone needed to be there when i pick up anyway until the certification for milk test is complete instead of pending like it is currently. the guy that took me out was great also and said he was hired a year ago after he retired from the army and has loved every minute of it he's been home atleast every other day for 10hr or more and one full day off a week and averaged $1600-$1800 bring home every 2wk pay except when multiple winter storms fell in the same pay period. he says that when the weather gets really bad in the winter we may spend a week at a time staying more local either hauling milk or running flatbed.
and yea i overpacked lol i took pillow blanket, change of clothes incase of hotter weather, sneakers, and 2 thermoses full of coffee. should have taken more cigarettes though lol. it seems i chain smoke on the road
i picked up a new 2015 deluxe atlas while on the road and just ordered an ipad to be paired with copilot app for navigation. other than that i think im pretty well set.
