Starter company prehire credit checks

Nov. 2011. If they have started that, I was not aware of it. And I have not heard a single soul anywhere even mention it either on the TTR forums or any of our drivers- even the brand newbies.

 

Not speaking for Maverick, but some companies routinely change their hiring requirements based on supply & demand. Just like the military does; no tattoos, a few tattoos, no more than a certain percent of square inches of tattoos. Guys that got waivers for tattoos in the Iraq & Afghanistan wars are now being kicked out for having too many, even though they have the same amount they did when they got the waivers to initially join. Reduction in force (RIF), bye, bye, thanks but no thanks.

 

Only in certain states is it legal to use your credit report for hiring criteria.

Check into it.....

 

Unfortunately, Ohio has no bills on the books regarding credit checks for pre-hire screening:
