Well hearing what DA went through made me more thankful that I had none of those problems.. All I had to do was put $500.00 down and the did a loan with some company who's financing the rest which is a total of a little over $6,500 @ 18%.. All in all it's been a great experience and I've learned everything I need to know to pass with the DMV examiner in just two weeks of training.. I still have two more weeks left and it's gonna go slow as a snail because I'm ready now.. Can't test til the week of July 12th cuz they school is closed for the week of the 4th.. Smh.. And on top of that, the loan company will start tapping my account on the 1st of August which leaves me little time to get hired on.. Definitely going with USX though.. Been my choice since before school even started..

Does anyone know if there is orientation during the week of July 4th?

Just call the recruiter and ask them.. That's the most sure fire way to find out.. I'm gonna call mine on Monday and find out everything I need to bring with me and all that extra stuff..

I was hoping that I could do the road test the very next week but apparently, the school I go to, a instructor has to be there with us as we do the road test and those guys just happen to have vacation all that week.. Idk.. I think I'm gonna call the loan company next week and see if I can get someone who understands on the phone and get them to push the first charge back a month which will give me time to finish orientation and all..

My recruiter sent me all that info with my prehire letter. I need my hard copy of the cdl before we can set up the orientation date. Also need to wait on my team partner to take his road test.

I got nothing but a pre hire letter and a post card saying to call them, but my homeboy said there was no need to even call until I know my CDL is in the mail..

I called and Im glad I did. I needed to send them some additional info for proof of past employment. And make copies to bring to Orientation, but they wont set up a start date till the hard copy comes.
