Hi all,
Hope you and your families are keeping well during this crazy time.
I have access to a couple straight trucks and courier vans, and am looking to start a new business to utilize these vehicles to make some income. I'm new to this industry, but have a friend who works for CH Robinson who is giving me advice. This is totally foreign to me, so I'm looking at the best way to begin this journey. Would it be best to reach out to companies by cold calls/emails? Find work on LoadLink etc?
Currently building a website, and just trying to figure out how to get this ball moving, and stumbled across this forum.
Hopefully I can find some advice!
Thanks, god bless.

The implied lack of knowledge about operations, regulations and general industry conditions seems to be a recipe for quick exhaustion of your bank account.

You need to do a proper business plan which includes an analysis of the market place and competitive forces.
Starting from scratch with no industry experience is an almost guaranteed failure.
If you're absolutely certain you want to try this, you should probably see about leasing vehicle(s) on with a carrier already doing what you want to do. Much lower risk starting out.
Or, you could just take your money and go to Vegas... likely better odds and way better memories. In six months, when you can actually go to Vegas.Phantom Trucker Thanks this. -
