So after 10 1/2 years of the USAF, 63 days of terminal leave, today starts a new chapter!
I have always wanted to be a truck driver, my uncle is, and both grand fathers are/were truck drivers. So i figure what better time then now to try something new!
This site has opened my eyes to the world of trucking....the good, the bad, the wrong....
I have done my research, and now im following through with my decision.
April 9th 2012, ill be starting at TDI/CDI in Oxford, AL.
I visited a couple of different schools, talked to recruiters, instructors, checked out the technical schools, yada yada yada...
I visited the Oxford school twice....once to talk to their recruiter, see the school, instructors, the second to get a confirmed opinion.....the warm fuzzies if you will...
My only hold up was a little piece of paper from the VA....well now i have it, faxed it to the recruiter at Oxford and have my seat reserved!
This week will be tying up loose ends before i head up there, and going to take my permit...i like to be prepared...military training thing i guess!
I am so stoked to try(learn) something new...and something that i actually wanna learn!
If anyone is going to be up there the same time as me, lemme know! It be nice to know someone in the class.
To new beginnings!
Ill be updating this as i go...
Starting at TDI/CDI out of Oxford,AL....
