With over two months of filling out applications online, over 150 just with Halliburton and Baker Hughes, and then there were the countless e-mails from Craigslist. Then on top of that the phone calls from a list of Oilfield service companies. And just to top it off a few apps to some of the OTR companies. Which I did orientation at May Trucking. Then got hired at Baker Hughes. I'm looking forward to starting on Monday. I got my Class A in December so I'm currious if I still will have to go through their training, at least the CDL part. Any advice or words of wisdom would be appreciated.

I'm not sure what their training involves, but you will most likely be a hand in daily operations on well sites. Driving will only be a fraction of the job. Congrats on the new job, I think they are a decent company to work for.

Any update on your new job? Baker Hughes is hiring here in San Antonio, TX..
-
I'm still here after two years. Like all corporations it has its ups and downs but overall I'm happy here.
Patrickm213 and security58 Thank this. -
Slow, your at the San Antonio location down south? So they hired you with no experience after getting your Class A?
-
What job did you start out with? Was it driving or something like frac/cement hand or wirelining?
-
What would your weekly average for work hours be? This goes out to anyone who works there.

WOW!!! Another mainah. You trying to head to the southern fields or head for harsher winters in ND? I'm considering ND once I get everything here squared away.
