Only technically. We have been here several generations. However I have a stepfather who is a relatively recent import. He was from around Liverpool.
More importantly I probably have more friends over there, than here. The main of which lives in Kent, and the other from Glastonbury.Chinatown Thanks this. -
I've been to Portsmouth. Lost all my money gambling and haven't gambled since....lol. That was a long time ago. Even though I moved to Las Vegas not too long ago, I only visit the casino's for the food buffet's.FerrissWheel Thanks this.

A wise choice. I'm over at the foot of Black Mountain in Henderson.
Seems my friend Zoe from Kent, mentioned Portsmouth a few times. I have never been so fabulously hammered as when touring London with Zoe. I think my blood alcohol level stayed out of legal range for all but 5 hours of a 6 day visit.Chinatown Thanks this. -
Thank you very much man! I appreciate it a lot.
I had a phone call with the recruiter yesterday. I asked her about the flatbed division and she told me it depends from where I live. And she wasn't sure if I could go in the flatbed division. I live in Marlette,Michigan. So she told me she will do some phone calls to ask around and let me know.
Fingers crossed.FerrissWheel Thanks this. -
It does, but being so close to Chicago there's no reason I could think they'd say no. Not to mention that we haul coils up near that location all the time. And Chassis in northern Indiana.
I once made three round trips to Detroit in a row. Coil from Charleston SC to Detroit. Deadhed to Burns Harbor IN, grab a coil from roll and hold. And go back down to Charleston SC. (Think it was Nucor,) we did alot of steel last year.
Either way, securement training is in Greer SC, Gary IN, or Phoenix AZ. I think the only places we don't really hire from for flatbed would be the Northern plains and New England areas.Paul T800 Thanks this. -
Thank you again man. Yeah it shouldn't be a problem for flatbed. She sounded positive but she wasn't 100% so she wanted to make sure.
Hope I can start soon with Swift when everything gets finalized.FerrissWheel Thanks this. -
Any updates on your journey?

Any information on their pay structure now?FerrissWheel Thanks this.

Hate to give you this answer, but I don't have the current pay info. I used to have a picture of the pay scale on my phone
I know it's went up by a cent or two. Tarping is 45$. I forget what layover and detintion is.
I've posted the old 2015 payscale somewhere on here. The scale was on my old phone.
I switched over to a salaried dedicated route, which is why I don't have current info.
If I run across the old paysheet I'll post it though.
