@Chinatown
Hey man, I am looking into tankers as well (I see A LOT of tankers in my area much much more than flatbed so could be a good option as well) do you know any company speciliazed in tankers or with a tanker division that hire in my area ? Central eastern Michigan.
Not necessarily that offer cdl-training but tankers companies that at least would hire new cdl drivers.
Thank you very much. -

Paul T800 Thanks this. -
Trimac has an "approved schools" list somewhere on their website.
They do hire new cdl grads, from approved schools.Paul T800 Thanks this. -
Thank you very much as always @Chinatown
I will look into Trimac and check their approved CDL school for here in Michigan.
Is not the same school I was in contact with but oh well..
I was reading that Schneider Bulk is a good starting company, they hire in my area and you can get pre-hired by them even before you put a foot in a school and they will pay for it.
Seems a good deal. Plus Schneider doesn't seems at all a bottom feeder company.
I assume Trimac is a more let say "prime" tanker company.
Nevertheless once everything will be set on a stone and sealed I will write down in here, with my experience and the reasons of my choices for future reference and hopefully help out people that will be in a similar situation and with similar preferences. -
Schneider Bulk is a good choice and they hire from most cdl schools.
Paul T800 Thanks this. -

Update:
I decided and is official: I will start with Swift.
I really, really wanted flatbed but the recruiter told me that for where I live (south east Michigan), flatbed is not possible....bummer.
So I will start Refrigerated division.
My starting pay will be 0.40 per mile.
I was all the way for Tankers but unfortunately the lack of work experience in US screwed me. I am from the EU and even I have an extensive work experience the companies I contacted for work pretty much don't care about it. They want US only work history. Example: Schneider Bulk.
Swift on the other hand is giving me a chance and I am grateful for it, they are giving me an opportunity to start.
I'll keep you posted folks.Gunner75, FerrissWheel, McUzi and 1 other person Thank this. -
Congratulations and good luck to you, @Paul T800
Paul T800 Thanks this. -
McUzi Thanks this.

If you have any questions swift related there are alot of us on here. Probably a few that could help you a bit better, since I'm on a dedicated account and sort of out of the loop on a bunch of things.
Best of luck.Paul T800 Thanks this.
