Hey guys just looking for some advice and maybe someone with some experiene can shoot me in the right direction. Here is my rough plan right now. I am looking to buy 1-2 daycabs to run in FL or maybe have 1 stay local and the other to go OTR.. I wouldn't mind what I haul but I would like to get into a speciality niche. My main question is, is there enough loads in FL to make a decent amount every week? I've checked multiple load boards and I see quite a few loads just in FL. I wouldn't mind busting my $$$ M-Thur and having the freedom with taking it easy on a Friday so I can be home with the wife and my 2 year old son. I currently work at Pepsi but I work 3rd shift and my schedule is completely opposite of my wifes and I also have an hour commute each day to work. I know a couple of guys hauling cars from auction and also another that hauls logs and they both do very well. Hopefully someone can help me out. Thanks

Besides just looking on load boards, have you priced the actual trucks themselves that you are interested in? Trailers? What about insurance? Maintenance? Fuel? Tax's? Plates? Authority? I you add on a 2nd truck are you going to make enough to pay all the same for that truck plus another driver?

Alot of fresh stuff going out of fl not much going into fl. Reefer usually does alright. If you run intrastate in Fl there are some things that are different than running OTR.

You should contact OOIDA. Check the website. This organization will help you get your business started the proper way.
Contact Farm2Fleet about some of their expedited loads.
Comtrak might use both your trucks; check their website also. Comtrak has 3 Florida terminals. -
Thanks for the help guys. MSS, what do you mean by it would be different if I run intrastate?
