I've had no experience other than Millis, and I've only been with the company (training included) since Feb - so far it's been a close knit group of drivers and the home office crew has been most understanding and helpful. I have seen most of what I had expected to see but there have been a LOT of things on the road that could have used a heads-up. All-in-all it's been fantastic.

Congrats on getting your truck. Remember - they will run you to death to see that you can meet the times and such, so run strong, legal and show them you can do it and you'll be just fine!rubberducky68 Thanks this. -
Thanks David, will do. Actuall had to do that just the other day - told dm that I'd be at least 2 to 3 hrs late on the delv. but it was at a whse where we normally do d/h so no biggie.
On another note, I bought a new toy/tool yesterday. You should be hearing from me a lot more on here from now on. More to follow later - have to plan a trip now. -
Ok, well it's been too long since I've touched a keyboard.. was starting to feel a bit, well odd, I guess. But all is better now. I figured to spend money on a laptop, gps, and mp3 was just way outside my budget - so I rolled over and bought a tablet from Verizion yesterday; I now have all three in one. I'm using Google maps for a general referancing of route/topo map as well as its ability to show me the areal view with parking avaiability in mind. I can access my e-mail, make phone calls with skype, read the news, update on youtube/facebook, play songs on pandora when there's no stations that I can work with, run spread sheets for my personal budget and keep track of my miles/loads and such, and I'm sure that there is some things I'm leaving off..
Thanks to Bear, btw, the other day. Called him up for a quick reference on a route befor I purchased my new tool. He was more than understanding and even made a few recommendations (which I ended up using). On that note, why is it that I-95N coming out of D.C. from 495 on the east side is restricted to trucks, and how come they don't tell you till your about three exits from it? -
338-Dark-Knights Thanks this.

Yes, but leaving the north end of DC to go towards Balitmore? ?

Hey - was nice meeting you today. Sorry I couldnt stay around longer but had to get rolling! -
Hope to see you again sometime- perhaps we'll have a moment to grab that cup of coffee I've promised you. Till then I'll just have to catch you here.
I told your brother-from-another-mother that your fairly famous from this site and with Mr. G showing your videos in class - he's a bit jealous I think. Starting mouthing out about how your just a guy (but a good friend)..
Anyways, I've got another 2.5k this week (three weeks in a row I've put a bonus run on miles) - also put in for hometime at the end of next. Is the hometime request acknoledge or do they just run you to your area and then let you know? -
I've had a couple times when I got a load that didn't make sense and sent q/c reminding them but they usually tell u your swapping with another driver before u can inquire.

I know that my current dm is a busy guy, but I did tell him at least three times, all seperate days, and reminded him again when he asked just befor he sent the ld. At least I didn't wait till the day of for wknd dspt to figure out what to do with the ld, right?
