Had a few days off here for the holiday. Been prepairing for a move- taking a week vaction to complete. I'm expecting to get some snow time in coming back out. . . was looking at weather forcasts for a few cities eariler. Can't seem to find my log book from the last trk to put my run sheets into the computer but it's here somewhere. Can I get the logs from my new trk faxed or is there another way that might work better?

Well things have slowed up for the shipping world here at Millis. Year end is always a bit slower for inventory and taxes from what I've gathered and understood. I've been looking foward to driving in the snow for the past two months now, and, just recently, had that wonderful experience from Trenton to Milwaukee in about 7 hrs; speeds as low as the min. on the I-65 last week's end. I saw several wrecks, both big rigs and 4 wheelers alike and had several oppertunites to put my training to the test - thanks Howard & Mr. G.
Been sitting in Oak Creek at the dealer for a cooler problem now since my last drop. I had the guys in Trenton all stoked to look at it, but the shop there doesn't have the computer software or cables to hook up to my T2.. so I got a loak to WI for the next day and proceded to Richfield for a check-up on a Chk Eng lamp with no faults codes on the D.I.C. I pull into Richfield and they have the equipment but can't 'talk' with the trk. So I've been in a hotel since Friday night and the dealer here is just about finished working on it, hopefully. I'm itching to get back out there and put the 'red head' back to work where she belongs; I also feel a bit lost without a steering wheel in my hands. On another note, had to idle the trk on that last load with the temp reaching down into the teens.. it's been a while since I've tried to sleep with the trk on and was a bit like the first few weeks of training. The wind was also a bit of a challenge rocking the trk the enitre night. -
Thanks for the update Knight, hope things work out for you! Be Safe!

Well, I've had a few close calls with the general population that drives the road with the us movers and shakers. Been rolling about 2300 - 3000 on avg the past couple of full weeks I've been out - and now it's come down to a few 'reportable' incidents that I have 'owned' up to for a board of my peers to review before the suspension is lifted, if not termination. I have made my best attempts at staying clear of avoidable circumstances, however here I sit at home for the next two weeks or until further review. I will say that it is not due to the lack in my trainer's instruction or by no means to MTI school. Furthermore, I have done moderate damage to one trailer and minor damage to one trailer, both, company owned, and never any damage to other property (with the exception of a wooden 'exit' sign and some shrubbery that was accompaning around said sign) or any DOT reportable incidents. I have been ticket free for almost an entire year - being the entire time I have been a class A licensed CDL holder. However, I am respecfull of my employer's decission to place me at home while my entire carrer is reviewed. I am also humble in the fact that I have been given the chance to persue a dream. I have made that dream a reality and had a blast so far AND I look foward to whatever comes from my after my wait now. I will continue to follow this passion I have made my into own world here, or, where it takes me in the days to come because I know it is not only in my best intrest, not only because I have invested so much, but because I beleive that if something can truly make you happy then it no longer becomes a task/chore/job.
I will not leave this thread unattened, and good luck to those reading. I have to say, it has been my pleasure meeting most of you here in person, if I should not get the chance to do it in the near future.
And for those looking into MTI or Millis, they are worth the shot, time, and effort you put in. Great pay and good benifits; I've never missed a hometime request and I've been home about once per month. -

GOAL is not just for reverse, and use it more than once to complete your challenge; be it a bridge or a parking spot, or a tight turn, etc.

Honesty is the best policy and the fact that you owned up to your mistakes says a lot about the kind of person you are. I truly wish you the best possible outcome of your situation.
